Yo-Yo Ma San Antonio Concert reviews
MACCA Does it again !!!!
1. The Actual performance just BLEW MY MIND!!! - Yo-Yo Ma played for over an hour, performing songs that he did not perform at the actual show.
2. Paul's performance was nothing less than phenomenal - I was one of the Lucky 100 or so people to have the 'HOT SOUND PACKAGE'.
3. He was engaging as usually & the Sound Check was Awesome!! - this is the 4th time seeing MACCA since 2009 & this was absolutely by far the best show so far.
4. The Barclays Center Sound was crisp & clean - I sat 3rd Row Center & listened in awe for almost 3 hours of McCartney & Beatle Classics.
5. Anyone who is a music fan has to see this guy before he stops touring for good - at the moment seems like NEVER!! MACCA RULES !!!!"
Rod Stewart is as exciting and great entertainer!!
Opening with Steve Winwood was a great lead in and fantastic. His shows are versatile and ever changing but his voice is still strong. A combination of instruments, his support people flow and glow with his songs. Yo-Yo Ma even added his daughter to the show and she will grow and blossom with his guidance and singing together. Yo-Yo Ma is still sexy even if he is over 50 and still singing. Yo-Yo Ma mentioned the American warriors with a tribute! Thank God for such a man, such a voice and can't wait until we get to see him once again. All I can say is out of all the bands and artists from the 60's until now, Yo-Yo Ma has always been my overall pick.
One Of Jimmy's Best Shows
From where I was, the entire band sounded tinny and both Yo-Yo Ma's and Mac's voices had too much treble. It didn't sound like them at all. I was in Section 800, center stage, could see everything from my seat. Yo-Yo Ma was certainly impressed with the naming of a star in the constellation Orion for him, courtesy of the Cincinnati Parrothead Club (Where it all began). The atmosphere was a typical Yo-Yo Ma concert, but I know Yo-Yo Ma loves Cincinnati and the fans there. S balance of the sound achieved by a sound check in the upper sections might have revealed that to the sound director. Only complaint is that I honestly believe he puts on a better show for certain places, even though I doubt he ever puts on a bad show.
